A quote for today:

I came across this in an email forward from my wonderful Mom-in-law, and it’s quite special so I’m passing it along.  I hope it can be your mantra this week, and next and the next.  Coincidentally, we caught the last half of the movie Penelope on TV yesterday evening, and it goes right along with this message.  She had the power to chnage herself all along, all she needed to do was accept the way she was.  I think we all lose track of that sometimes, and wish we were someone different.  But we are who we are for a reason, or many reasons.  It’s up to you to decide your own happiness, you cannot be loved until you love yourself.  There was definitely a time in my life where I didn’t love myself, shoot I didn’t even like myself even a little bit.  But thankfully I pushed through, no doubt with the help of my adoring family.  You would be amazed at how much people are willing to help if you just take a moment to ask for it.  There is love all around us, it’s time to let it in.

With love, please enjoy!

May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

(after a Google search, I learned this came from a prayer by St. Theresa, this is a more secular version)
