Little bunny foo foo!

We hope you all had a great Easter holiday!  Wasn’t the weather on Saturday AWESOME?!  We were two hours east of home at my Dad’s house, and it was so warm and sunny that the girls decided they should sunbathe.  Because let’s face it, it may as well have been 90 degrees to us after dealing with such cold temperatures so  far this spring.

It’s such a great place to get away to, they have horses for the kids to ride…

Enzo – 2 months!

2 months!

Thank you to those who still visit our blog, and my sincere apologies for not keeping up with it more often (am I repeating myself?).  I fully intend to post a few times a week, if not more (ideally) as soon as I can get some time to do that.  Right now my days are spent keeping my sweet baby happy.  He’s a snacker, which means he eats every hour to an hour and a half.   When he does nap during the day, not including his little cat naps, I use this time to shower, clean the house, eat, do some laundry, etc.  (Truth be told, what I’d really like to do is nap along with him, but I would feel most guilty so therefore I try to be “productive”).

It’s amazing that he is 2 months old already, and we are loving all the new things he is learning each and every day.  He smiles a lot now and is really good at riding in the car.  This is a lifesaver since we are on the go a lot it seems.  It seems like every time we go somewhere, as soon as we arrive he is ready to eat.  Almost like I go places just to nurse him.  It’s fine for me and him, but I do wonder if people get annoyed that the first thing I do when I arrive is whip out my boob.  I am sure this is how every breastfeeding mom feels.  Trust me, it’s not intentional.  But I will never deny him if he is hungry, so therefore, the eating happens whenever and wherever. Even if it means feeding him at Claire’s volleyball practice, or in the car in the parking lot of Mark’s soccer game, or at your house when we come to visit.  The important thing is that he is gaining weight like a heavyweight champion!  I love all the creases and rolls on his arms and legs.  Or the fact that he is outgrowing so many clothes and diaper covers (okay, maybe I don’t love that part so much).  His cheeks are the best, and beg to be kissed 24/7, which I am happy to oblige.  He does this adorable full body laugh sometimes, as he drifts off to sleep while nursing.  It’s awesome.  I am usually the only one that gets to see it but Claire heard it the other morning while she was getting ready for school.  Our lives are fuller with Enzo here.  We love you little buddy!

Here are some candid shots during his 2 month photo session in his onesie (thanks Grandma Trudie!).  With the help of Daddy, he was giving up some good smiles…

oh yeah, there's a grin...

cousins Wyatt & Hunter!

Right now I am working on crocheting a hat for Enzo to wear on Easter (with bunny ears, of course!).  We are travelling up the Gorge to visit my Dad and Marta for the holiday weekend.  It’s always fun to go spend time with them.  The girls are excited about riding horses hopefully, and I am looking forward to having Papa Ron get some snuggle time with Enzo.  I will have pictures to post upon our return, hopefully it doesn’t take me a week to write the post!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Enzo – 6 weeks!

Our sweet little boy had his 6 week wellness visit with Dr. Jenny today.  And I am super happy to report that everything looks great and he’s as fit as a fiddle!  He now weighs in at 12 pounds, so he is gaining more than an ounce a day (which is what Jenny had predicted he would be doing in the coming months).  And he has grown another inch and a half!  I am also happy to say that he did not have to receive any vaccinations at his visit today, which was something I was not looking forward to at all.  We are starting his vaccines at 6 months, since he is at low risk for everything that babies get vaccinated for in the first place (since I am breastfeeding and he is not in a daycare situation or around small children all day).  We are so happy with Dr. Jenny as our pediatrician and Enzo is too!

Oh, and he found his thumb yesterday, which was pretty stinking cute!
